Unlock Your Coaching Potential: Visualization Coaching

The coach must hold the clients accountable for their actions. A strong relationship must be established in order to help the client clarify situations, goals, and the resources needed to reach these goals. The coach works in partnership with the client to facilitate growth in strengths, drive, commitment ethic, talents, skills and abilities.

Effective coaches assist clients in developing action plan by helping them visualize success and experience momentum through action. Visualization is one of the most important and powerful techniques available because it creates a belief in greater possibilities, fosters action, and allows the client to evaluate and adjust behaviors or plans. In essence, clients must know what they want. Successful athletes have a good idea about their capabilities and therefore they can picture what they want to do. The predominant images before a person affect feelings and communication.

Effective coaches are themselves visionary leaders. The often see what others do not and expect the inexplicable. They understand that the subconscious mind does not differentiate between what is imagined and what is real. The images placed in front of someone are the images which will dominate that persons thoughts and actions. Effective coaches ask clients, Where is your attention in relation to your outcomes? They ask, What will it take to achieve what you really want?

Visioning is more of an art than a science. It requires expecting positive results and a willingness to reach beyond ones limiting beliefs. Creative visioning goes beyond imagination. It requires a definite major purpose and has no boundaries. It is the life force that drives us to seek that which is beyond logical expectation. It makes people aware of the price of personal achievement because they understand the benefits of sharing blessings, experiences, and opportunities with others.

An effective coach knows how to share of the power of creative visioning. The coach teaches clients how to:

1. Get in touch with their beliefs;
2. Be self-reliant;
3. Have a definite major purpose in life;
4. Keep ones mind busy with purpose;
5. Be inspired by ones own initiative.
